Today, I’m joined by Drew, Joseph, and Trevor for a special episode of Man on the Mic. We talk about what it really looks like to follow Jesus Christ in a world that constantly pulls us in the opposite direction. This is a conversation about faith, identity, missions, and what happens when you fall away and still find your way back.
Drew and Joseph open up about their faith crisis in high school and the dark seasons that came with it. They share what helped them come back, why they don’t feel “worthy” of the light they’ve found, and how they want to be a resource for anyone who feels broken, distracted, or far from God. We also break down what the Atonement means in everyday life and why there is no real purpose without it.
Trevor shares a powerful perspective from his mission and what it meant to choose to stay when things got hard. He talks about being gay in the church, the pain of feeling unseen, and why God still gave him the gift of agency. We also discuss hard questions in the church, including topics we may not have full answers to yet, and what it means to keep moving forward anyway.
We end the episode talking about rock bottom moments, how to hold on to the good when everything feels confusing, and why having the right people around you can change everything. If you’ve ever questioned your faith, felt unworthy, or wondered if God still sees you, this episode is for you.

Today, Henry Barnes joins me for a meaningful conversation about identity, faith, and self acceptance. Henry shares his journey of being adopted from Kazakhstan, growing up in Utah, and learning to navigate life while feeling different from those around him. Over time, he discovered that those differences were not something to hide, but something to embrace as part of God’s design.
We talk about the role faith plays in discipline, gratitude, and daily decision making. Henry opens up about his fitness journey, how caring for his body became an act of gratitude, and why progress matters more than comparison. He also shares lessons learned from sales, reading, and personal growth, especially around resilience and handling rejection.
We close with a conversation about authenticity in dating and social media, staying grounded in appearance driven spaces, and using struggle as a source of empathy and strength. This episode is for anyone who has ever felt out of place and needed a reminder that who you are is enough.

Today, Luke Staley joins me for a powerful conversation about faith, identity, and learning to stay grounded in a world full of distractions. Luke shares how he moved away from chasing popularity and began creating content centered on God. That shift brought him unexpected peace and a deeper sense of purpose. His message is simple. Live for God, not for approval.
We talk about gratitude and how many people forget they already have what they once prayed for. Luke explains how prayer, positivity, and surrounding yourself with the right people help protect your peace. He also opens up about overcoming the fear of sharing his testimony online and why authenticity matters more than career safety.
The episode takes a heartfelt turn as we discuss depression, suicide, and the importance of checking on the people you love. Luke reflects on the reality that spiritual progress often invites resistance and why it is important to stay prayerful and aware. His hope is to be remembered for kindness, love, and the ability to bring peace to others.
